CD releases from Fenella Humphreys & Psappha
Two discs featuring my music are being released on the same day next week, on Friday 25 March:
Fenella Humphreys‘s Caprices album is out on Rubicon Classics. She performs my Études I-IV for solo violin wonderfully, in a massive virtuosic grab-bag of an album: caprices and studies by Paganini, Bacewicz, Freya Waley-Cohen, Oliver Leith, Kreisler, Roxanna Panufnik, Laurence Osborn, Mark O’Connor, Errollyn Wallen & Seonaid Aitken.
Hear a couple of tracks over at Apple Music or pre-order the CD at Presto Music.
Psappha are releasing a disc of Commissions on NMC – pieces they’ve commissioned over Artistic Director Tim Williams’ 30-year tenure. It features their recording of Two Games and a Nocturne, which they commissioned in 2017, alongside works by John Casken, Ninfea Cruttwell-Reade, Tom Harrold, George Stevenson and Mark-Anthony Turnage.
You can pre-order CD or download directly from NMC.
Lovely to have such fantastic musicians record two of my pieces!
